The work presented should directly engage with the hypertextual specificity of webcomics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions should be <strong>2 pages<\/strong> excluding references and use the <strong>single-column ACM<\/strong> submission format available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acm.org\/binaries\/content\/assets\/publications\/taps\/acm_submission_template.docx\">https:\/\/www.acm.org\/binaries\/content\/assets\/publications\/taps\/acm_submission_template.docx<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted participants will be invited to submit revised papers, incorporating feedback and insights following the workshop, in a special collection of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comicsgrid.com\/\">The Comics Grid: Journal of Comics Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Papers may be submitted through&nbsp;the following <strong>EasyChair<\/strong> link:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/my\/conference?conf=ht23\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/easychair.org\/my\/conference?conf=ht23<\/a>.&nbsp;Please ensure you select&nbsp;<strong>\u201cWebcomics and\/as Hypertext\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;as the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Peer review<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for creative and innovative ideas and perspectives on where webcomics and hypertext intersect. Papers can reflect current work in this area or considerations of future possible research. Each submission will be assessed based on its:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>fit with the workshop\u2019s scope&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>clarity, validity, sound methodology and contribution to the fields of Comics Studies and of Hypertext Studies, Digital Humanities, Human-Computer Interaction and related disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>compliance with the ACM submission guidelines.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop organizers will make an initial assessment of the submission and decide whether it is suitable for peer review. The submissions selected will be sent for double blind peer review through an evaluation form, comprising an evaluation of strengths, weaknesses, methodology, presentation and impact.&nbsp; This is to ensure every aspect of the submission is evaluated against this call for submissions and the workshop\u2019s scope. The review process is understood as a dialogue between authors, reviewers, and the Organizing Committee.
