Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the upcoming INTR/HT Summer School at the prestigious 2026 ACM Hypertext Conference.

The INTR/HT Summer School is an intensive study of hypertext theory and practice funded by SIGWEB for master’s and PhD level students, with the goal of educating the next generation hypertext researchers. It takes place online during the summer and culminates as in-person study over the two-day period, September 12–13, leading into the ACM Hypertext ’26 conference in London, England at the London College of Communication.

Instruction is held seminar-style and taught by leading hypertext researchers. Topics include the hypertext field and community, research methodologies, research practices and opportunities, publications and the ACM style guidelines, and ethics and professional conduct. Students will also gain insights about the ACM Hypertext conference structure, SIGWEB, and ACM. At the end of the program, students will have gained a greater understanding of the field, built expertise as a hypertext researcher, developed a network of colleagues, and become better prepared to participate in future ACM conferences.

Students will participate in the conference via a special poster session where they can receive feedback and guidance about their research idea and poster.

Funding

Up to fifteen students selected for this cohort of the INTR/HT Summer School will receive:

Full funding for travel expenses

Housing accommodations

Free access to HT’26 workshops and the main conference.

Submission Requirements

To be considered for the INTR/HT Summer School, students must submit:

A scientific poster outlining your current or future work in hypertext, size ISO A0 (portrait, 841 × 1189 mm / 33.1 × 46.8 inches) in PDF format.
