Interview: Communities of Digital Practices

Hypertext networks are sometimes understood as human networks: people of similar interests working together towards a common goal within a common frame of reference. Digital technology has made a huge impact on methods of production, workflows, and communication within communities.

The fourth track of ACM Hypertext 2024, “Communities of Digital Practices,” encourages technical and phenomenological reflections beyond that of mere social media. Submissions may focus on the growth, management, and activities of such communities: how, for what purpose, and with what outcomes these communities operate and the tools they use.

The track is chaired by Dr. Alessandro Adamou (Bibliotheca Hertziana) – in conversation with Dr. Mariusz Pisarski, the General Chair of ACM Hypertext 2024.
