Hypertext 2016 will feature two exciting workshops. The extended submission deadline for workshop contributions is 27 May 2016 (as indicated in the sidebar on the right). The workshop proceedings will be bundled and published open-access in the Hypertext 2016 Extended Proceedings. Visit the workshop pages for more details and submission instructions.

Narrative and Hypertext (NHT)

Organizers: Charlie Hargood, David Millard

This workshop aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum to bring together individuals from the humanities and technological communities to share work and discuss state-of-the-art research on narrative from both a technical and aesthetic perspective.

The Future of Computer Annotation

Organizers: James Blustein, Ann-Barbara Graff

In this workshop we will develop a research framework deliniating what has been done and especially what needs to be done in annotation. The framework will address which research questions remain unanswered, define the pressing questions or those that need to be re-formulated; this agenda should drive research on annotation in the near future.

Web Search and Individual Differences (IndiDiff)

Organizers: Herre van Oostendorp, Aline Chevalier, Wai-Tat Fu, Saraschandra Karanam

The aim of this workshop is to discuss how users search information and navigate on the Internet, how individual differences in cognitive factors and strategies developed cause variations in search and navigation performance as well as how to model these individual differences in cognitive factors in order to build support mechanisms and tools.
