Interactive Narrative Exhibition

Track chairs Prof David Millard (University of Southampton) and Dr Joey Jones (University of Southampton) exhibitionHT24@easychair.org.

HT‘24 welcomes the presentation of interactive narrative works, such as e-literature and games, for exhibition at the conference. We invite creations on the theme of:

Creative Intelligence

Participants are encouraged to interpret this theme in its widest senses. Consider some of these open questions as optional prompts for inspiration:

  • How can hypertextual storytelling communicate creativity?
  • What are the ethics of generative art?
  • Can a virtual agent in a game be creative?
  • How might we enhance our creativity through e-literature?
  • What is the role of automation in the creative process?

Submissions

Submission may present original works or a collection of works in a coherent curated collection. This may include e-literature, games, creative hypertexts, interactive films, and digital experiences. Works in the exhibit will be presented in a secure room in the venue so that attendees can experience them throughout the conference. Display laptops will be made available to exhibitors.

To submit, exhibitors are asked to send a short author statement in the form of an extended abstract (no more than two pages). The statement should give a description of the piece, and may also include motivations, background, inspirations, or technical details. If the work is available online, a link to it should be provided. Please also let us know any further details on how the work would need to be presented, and how we might facilitate that.

Proposals should be submitted via EasyChair.
