Full and Short Papers

Full and short papers are presented during the thematic sessions on the main conference days. Each session will be chaired by a session chair (names will be announced on the website and in the programme booklet). Please come to the presentation desk about 5-10 minutes before the session starts.

The session chair may decide to put all presentations on one laptop, to avoid wasting time while changing computers. Otherwise, test whether your computer works with the projector. Apple users should bring their own dongle or borrow someone else's dongle.

The presentation lengths are:

• Full papers: 25 minutes (20 minutes + 5 minutes for questions)
• Short papers: 15 minutes (10 minutes + 5 minutes for questions)

Posters and Demos

Posters and demos will be presented at the poster reception in the Sculture Court on Monday, 11 July. Ensure to be in time to put up your poster and plan to stay at your poster during the whole reception, in order to talk with people who are interested in your work.

The poster boards are square, 4 x 4 feet (48 x 48 inches or 122 x 122 cm), so please size your posters accordingly. Use a font that is large enough to be read on a distance and avoid long texts. Illustrations and visual summaries usually work very well.

Before the poster session, there will be a poster madness (at 17:00), during which all posters, demos and DC papers will be presented. Prepare 1-3 slides and a 1-minute talk for this session. This one minute is just for making people interested in visiting your poster or demo stand, not for explaining all the contents. See it as a teaser and not as a full-fledged presentation. After one minute we will remove you from the stage - in one way or another (that's the whole idea of the poster madness).

Doctoral Consortium Papers

Doctoral consortium papers will be presented during three parallel session in the shared UMAP/Hypertext Doctoral Consortium. Specific instructions will be provided by the Doctoral Consortium chairs.

In addition, DC authors are encouraged to bring a poster for the Hypertext poster reception on Monday. For this, DC authors should follow the same instructions as poster and demo authors.
